Finnair joined China Southern to start codeshare cooperation

Finnair announced that it has agreed on a new codeshare partnership with China Southern, China’s largest carrier with over 800 aircraft and more than 100,000 employees around the world, according to Finnair’s media release published on May 21, 2019.

Starting on 01 June, 2019, the cooperation will add five new destinations in China for Finnair’s customers allowing the customers to connect with China Southern from Guangzhou to Changsha (CSX), Chongqing (CKG), Hangzhou (HGH), Nanjing (NKG), Sanya (SYX), Wenzhou (WNZ), Xiamen (XMN) and Xi´an (XIY).

Likewise, China Southern code CZ will be added on Finnair routes from Helsinki to several popular destinations in Europe including Amsterdam, Billund, Copenhagen, Goteborg, London, Paris, Riga (RIX) and Stockholm.

The customers can book the new codeshare flights from 21 May, 2019 onwards.

Ahead of the cooperation with China Southern, Finnair recently joined hand with Juneyao Air to launch codeshare flights that can be booked since May 16.

This codeshare opens up new destinations in China for our customers on the Helsinki-Guangzhou route, which we just extended to year-round operations.
