Finnish Foreign Trade, Development minister in Jakarta

Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ms. Anne-Mari Virolainen visited Jakarta with a Finnish business delegation during 8 -10 October.

Minister Virolainen met with the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan, Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, and Minister of Social Affairs Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita. Minister Virolainen met also Women Leaders in Business, including the Vice President of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce, Shinta Widjaja Kamdani.

On the agenda was co-operation between the countries in the fields of energy, waste management, logistics, infrastructure and digitalisation. From Jakarta Minister Virolainen continued to Bali to attend the Annual Meeting of the World Bank Group and the meeting of the joint Development Committee of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

“Many days of interesting discussions, good meetings and new friends. While strengthening the already good relationship, this visit sowed seeds for further mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries,” reported the embassy.
