Finnish and Malaysian healthcare professionals came together in Kuala Lumpur for the Finnish Spine Therapy Masterclass 2026 and Lojer Manuthera Clinical Symposium.

Deputy Head of Mission at the Finnish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Maiju Lepomäki, attended the opening ceremony.

The programme was organised by Evo Performance, International Medical University and other partners. It focused on healthcare, rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

A key part of the event was the Manuthera treatment table, developed by Finnish healthcare company Lojer.

The table is designed for use by physiotherapists, chiropractors and other healthcare professionals treating spinal and joint conditions.

During the masterclass, participants were trained in how to use the equipment in clinical practice.

The Finnish Embassy said the event highlighted the value of combining healthcare technology with clinical expertise to improve patient care.

Finland and Malaysia are also looking to strengthen cooperation in areas such as preventive healthcare, patient-centred care and health technology.

The event provided an opportunity for Finnish and Malaysian healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge and explore further cooperation in the sector.
