The Danish Pig Alliance is returning to the Philippines to promote Danish expertise and technology in the country’s pig industry.
The alliance brings together Danish companies working with areas such as pig genetics, farm design, biosecurity and meat processing.
The Danish Embassy in the Philippines said the Danish companies can help local producers deal with challenges including animal diseases, biosecurity and rising production costs.
The alliance first visited the Philippines in March 2025. During the visit, Danish and Filipino industry leaders met in Davao and Manila to discuss opportunities for more efficient and sustainable pig production.
The programme included business forums, company presentations, meetings between Danish and Filipino businesses and visits to local companies.
Among the Danish companies taking part were DanBred, SKOV, Danish Farm Design, SundsAlfa, Spanvall, VissingAgro and AVS Agric. The companies offer solutions ranging from pig genetics and farm equipment to slaughterhouses and meat processing.
The initiative is part of cooperation between the Danish embassies in the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to promote Danish business and technology in Southeast Asia.
The latest visit shows that Danish companies are continuing to look for opportunities in the Philippine pork sector.
The embassy has not announced any new contracts or investments linked to the latest visit.
