Finnish technology prize event taking place in Singapore

Dr Tuomo Suntola introduced his winning innovation to the guests.

Embassy of Finland in Singapore hosted Millennium Technology Prize Event at the Ambassador Paula Parviainen’s residence on Tuesday 22th January 2019.

The Embassy delegation led by Paula Parviainen welcomed Dr Tuomo Suntola, Millenium Technology Prize winner 2018 and young scientists from Finland and Beneq Oy with Singaporean colleagues in the field of material technology.

During the event, Dr Tuomo Suntola introduced his winning innovation, and research of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology to the guests.

Finnish young scientists include Katja Väyrynen from the University of Helsinki, Sami Kinnunen from the University of Jyväskylä, Toni Pasanen from Aalto University and Arto Hiltunen from Tampere University.

All of them together with Dr Tuomo Suntola are now attending the five-day Global Young Scientists Summit which is also taking place in Singapore on 20-25 January 2019.
