Vietnam Airlines launched its new direct route between Copenhagen and Ho Chi Minh City on Monday 16 December, marking the first-ever nonstop connection between Denmark and Vietnam’s largest city.
The inaugural departure from Copenhagen Airport was marked by a small ceremony, with ribbon cutting, speeches, and refreshments for the first passengers.
The route will operate three times a week using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a capacity of 311 passengers. The new service is expected to make travel between Scandinavia and southern Vietnam easier for both leisure and business travellers.
Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s economic hub and a major destination known for its markets, street food culture and growing international business scene.
