First SAAB-SEB Tournament A Resounding Success

On a glorious and warm Saturday in March, 128 golfers made their way down to Black Mountain in Hua Hin for the first ever SAAB-SEB tournament. People not only came from Hua Hin and Bangkok but from all over Asia for this event which has grown to be the most popular on the SSS calendar.sebsaab2

For a challenging golf course the scores were quite good – especially in the A group where Geir Bing won with 40 points including 1 birdie, Mats Holm came second with 39 points which included an amazing 4 birdies and the last podium spot went to Jan Hammarlund at 39 points as well but higher handicap than Mats and he also had two birdies. The top 3 all came from the SSS member group.

The B group and overall winner was Dan Enstedt who had 37 points despite his 42 putts. One of the highest putts which meant that tee to green he played super well. Daniel Häggmark of the international team came second at 36 points while Bjorn Bjerkaas came 3rd with 34 points. Honorable mentions go to Mikael Olsson whom took the 4th prize which is actually 3rd prize in the SSS competition.

Longest drive on hole # 18 went to Bo Palmqvist and the ladies was won by Sherry Fager.

There was also a team competition which was won by a whopping 5 points over their 2nd place counterparts. The winning team was Roby Janssens, Wichien Hampraween, Sverre Haug and Kristian Bo.

Live music was then played and a great buffet dinner Scandinavian style at the golf course

The next tournament is the Oakwood-Blufox tournament on the 26th of April. You can already now sign up at www.zabai.golf
