Global Entrepreneurship Network focusing on Asia held in Thailand

Thailand hosted the first ever Global Entrepreneurship Network conference focused on Asia on 20-23 September 2018.

As part of the large-scale Global Entrepreneurship Asia Conference (GEN Asia), the Danish Ambassador Uffe Wolffhechel and his wife, Susie A. Ruff, together with GEN Thailand invited start-ups, entrepreneurs and young people from the creative businesses for a Friday evening reception to mark the Danish-Thai cooperation.

The Global Entrepreneurship Network Asia (GEN Asia) conference is the first GEN conference focused on Asia. The Conference is co-hosted by GEN Thailand and Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) under Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy & Society under the theme: “Big Data” and regional entrepreneurship development and cooperation.

GEN Asia was established to serve as a regional hub of the entrepreneurship movement in Asia and to provide a sustained focus on enabling entrepreneurship in Asia through a coordinated interface with GEN operations around the world.

As part of the conference, the Creative Business Cup Thailand Competition was also hold.
Creative Business Cup is a global year-round initiative that empowers entrepreneurs in the creative industries, helping them grow their business ideas, connecting them to investors and the global markets, and strengthening their innovative capabilities to the benefit of industry and society.

The purpose of the Creative Business Cup is to strengthen the business competencies of creative individuals. The Creative Business Cup is a platform for creative individuals to showcase their creative competencies and to inspire them to become creative entrepreneurs in the future.
