Gunnebo wins MRT deal in Singapore

The Swedish company Gunnebo Entrance Control, in association with Thales, a French company within automatic fare collection integration, has booked orders to supply entrance control systems and related equipment to the Marina Line in Singapore, Taipei Metro in Taiwan and New Delhi Metro in India.

The total order value is around MEUR 3.3. It is expected that the systems will be delivered between 2005 and 2007.

“For several years we have concentrating on developing our products within the metro segment, underground city railways, and building up a global market organisation, which have been key factors enabling us to win these orders. Our development within the metro segment has been innovative and successful, and we are now one of the leading companies within this fast growing market segment,” says Lars Proos, President of Gunnebo Entrance Control.

Gunnebo is an international security group with 110 companies located in 32 countries with an annual turnover of MEUR 870.
