The Indonesian Embassy in Copenhagen has opened registration for the second round of its free online Indonesian language course in 2026.

The course is available to foreign nationals and Indonesian citizens living in Denmark and Lithuania. Classes will run from September to December and will take place online twice a week. Each session lasts 90 minutes, and English will serve as the language of instruction.

The programme, known as BIPA, teaches Indonesian to non-native speakers. It covers reading, writing, listening and speaking in both formal and informal situations.

Seven proficiency levels are available. New participants can complete a placement test to determine the appropriate level. Those who do not take the test will automatically enter the beginner-level BIPA I class.

Children aged seven to 16 can join a separate programme, while the general course is open to participants above the age of 16. Tutors certified by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and Culture will conduct the classes.

Participants can register through the online registration form. The embassy says applicants will receive information about the placement test by email on 17 or 18 September 2026.
