Manila will host the final stop of Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson’s touring exhibition Your curious journey, opening this July.
The exhibition will be hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, running from July 9 to Nov. 15. It concludes a regional tour that has included major institutions in Singapore, Auckland, Taipei and Jakarta.
Eliasson is internationally known for large-scale installations that explore light, perception, and environmental themes. His work often combines natural elements with immersive spatial design, inviting viewers to experience their surroundings in new ways.
The show brings together more than three decades of Eliasson’s artistic practice, with a focus on perception, embodiment and environmental change. Visitors can expect immersive installations that play with light, space and natural materials, alongside photographic works that document shifts in the climate over time.

Among the featured works are early and later pieces that explore how viewers experience their surroundings in different ways, using optical effects, organic materials and altered environments.
Ahead of the opening, Eliasson will also give a public lecture on July 9 at 2 p.m. at the Benilde Design + Arts Campus. The talk is free and open to the public, offering insights into how art can encourage reflection on both personal and collective change.
