Swedish industrialist Marcus Wallenberg has toured the AstraZeneca Health Innovation Hub at De La Salle University’s KIST Park in Laguna, according to the Swedish Embassy in Manila.
Wallenberg, who sits on AstraZeneca’s board, also joined representatives of companies in the Wallenberg sphere for a business lunch hosted by Swedish Ambassador Anna Ferry. The embassy announced the visit on 25 September but did not say when it took place.
AstraZeneca Philippines and De La Salle University agreed in May to work together on health research and talent development at the Laguna campus. The embassy did not announce a new agreement or investment following Wallenberg’s visit.
