Metso will supply two power boilers to T Cikarang Listrindo, located in Babelan outside of Jakarta in Indonesia. The order is valued at around EUR 100 million.
The delivery will also include a Metso DNA control system. Following the investment, the company’s electricity production will increase by approximately 30 per cent. The plant will be commissioned in 2016.
According to Metso, the order represents a major breakthrough for the company in the Indonesian power industry. PT Cikarang Listrindo particularly valued Metso’s expertise and capability to deliver a solution tailored to local needs.
PT Cikarang Listrindo focuses on electricity generation and distribution to industrial estates in Indonesia. Its customer base has been expanding steadily during the past 20 years, which is why the company decided to increase its electricity generation capacity.
