The Norwegian Government has granted another NOK 140 million in emergency aid to the Philippines. This brings Norway’s total contributions to the storm victims to NOK 205 million.
– The needs for humanitarian aid are enormous. 13 million people are affected by this catastrophe, says Foreign Minister Børge Brende.
The money will be channelled through UN agencies and independent aid organisations already working in the Philippines.
