A Norwegian man lost his life in a drowning accident in Phan Nga in Thailand on 18 November 2016. This is confirmed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware that a Norwegian citizen has died in Thailand. The relatives are notified,” the Ministry informed the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.
“He was found lifeless in the water and brought ashore where lifesaving treatment was performed. Unfortunately, his life could not be saved, and shortly after, the man was declared dead,” a Norwegian witness tells the newspaper.
