Peter Kristian Vind, a Danish long time resident of Thailand, passed away in Thailand on 8 April 2026 at the age of 64.
The news was shared by his friend Henrik Friis on Facebook, who wrote that Peter Vind died after three months in hospital. He is survived by his wife, Tiew, and daughter, Pop.
Peter Vind worked as a service engineer for Skov Asia in Bangkok, where he had been employed since 2010.
Friends and former colleagues responded to the announcement with condolences and memories, mentioning shared projects, humour and time spent together over the years.
Funeral rites are being held at Bang Na Nai Temple in Bangkok. Buddhist chanting ceremonies take place from 9 to 11 April at 19:00, followed by cremation on 12 April at 13:00. The QR code in the image below will link to the location.
