SWEDCHAM Malaysia — formerly known as MASBA — is holding its most important meeting of the year on Wednesday 21 May 2025, with an evening that combines the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a networking buffet dinner at The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur.
The gathering marks a pivotal moment in the Chamber’s history as it transitions from MASBA to SWEDCHAM Malaysia, signaling a new phase in its development as the formal representative body for Swedish business interests in the country.
Members attending the AGM will be briefed on the strategic motivations behind the transformation, including how the new structure aims to strengthen the Chamber’s advocacy role and better support Swedish companies operating in Malaysia. The leadership will outline goals for the future and invite members to share their views on pressing business challenges and how SWEDCHAM can address them with policymakers and other stakeholders.

Following the official proceedings, the evening will continue with a buffet dinner, providing attendees with the chance to reconnect with fellow members, meet newcomers, and explore new business opportunities in a relaxed setting. Wine and beer will be served alongside the dinner.
The event is open to members, non-members, and guests. The participation fee is RM 150 for members and RM 180 for non-members, guests, and spouses.
