Swedish Ambassador to Thailand, Anna Hammargen, on Wednesday 6 March 2024 met with the Commission on Children, Youth, Women, the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities, Ethnic Groups, and LGBTQ+ Individuals of Thailand’s House of Representatives. The meeting took place at the Parliament House and also included a delegation of youth winners from the Ambassador for a Day 2025 competition.
According to a facebook post by the Swedish Embassy, the discussions focused on empowering youth and women, with an emphasis on leadership roles and participation in decision-making processes. Participants exchanged views on the challenges and opportunities for women in today’s society and explored strategies for promoting gender equality on an international scale. The collaboration aims to foster a more inclusive and equitable society.
