Swedish crime novelist Håkan Nesser to visit China

Swedish crime novelist Håkan Nesser will visit China from March 15-18 in order to participate in several events, including a talk at Fudan University, a literary salon at the residence, Shanghai International Literary Festival, and Ningbo Bookworm’s Literary Caravan.

Nesser is a best-selling Swedish author who has published 25 books in the last 25 years, both literary novels and literary crime novels. He has written two detective series – 10 books about inspector Van Veeteren in a fictional city somewhere in Europe, five books about Inspector Barbarotti in Sweden. Nesser has won several literary awards, including The Scandinavian Glass Key and The European Crime Star Award. Born in Kumla, Sweden, he has lived in New York and London and recently moved back to Sweden, where he lives in Stockholm on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea.
