A 47-year-old Swedish man has died after a motorcycle crash in Rayong province, according to Thaiger.
Police from Klaeng Police Station said the crash happened around 5pm on January 6. It took place on a curve in Klaeng district.
A security guard told police the rider was travelling at high speed. He said the motorcycle lost control, hit a guardrail, and then struck a roadside electricity pole.
Police said the man suffered severe head injuries and a broken neck. His body was found about 20 metres from a white Honda PCX motorcycle.
The man’s Thai partner told police they planned a wedding soon. She said they had completed spouse-visa paperwork to travel to Sweden in March.
Police said intoxication is suspected as a cause of the crash. Officers said they are reviewing nearby CCTV before closing the case.
