Swedish Minister for Justice Beatrice Ask met with Prime Minister Vietnam, Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday.
Dung hailed the outcomes of talks between the Swedish Minister for Justice Beatrice Ask and Public Security Minister Tran Dai Quang while describing her visit as a practical contribution to strengthening the multifaceted ties between the two countries.
Vietnam will do its best to join hands with Sweden to improve bilateral relations far and wide in the fields of trade and investment, ODA, justice, and anti- crime, Dung said.
The PM also asked Sweden to help Vietnam with personnel training and technical equipment for crime prevention, as well as fostering favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Sweden.
The Swedish Minister informed the Prime Minister of the signing of a cooperation agreement on crime prevention during her talks with Minister Quang.
She said the Swedish Ministry of Justice will continue to closely cooperate with the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security and its relevant agencies to effectively implement the cooperation areas as agreed by the two sides.
