Mattias Wiggberg, an associate professor at Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology, will discuss how Singapore and Sweden approach AI adoption at a SwedCham event on Friday, 30 October.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Singapore will host the session, titled “AI & Adoption: Singapore & Sweden, Two Approaches”, at its Orchard Road office.

Drawing on ongoing comparative research, Wiggberg will examine how government policies, skills development and public initiatives help the two countries introduce AI. He will also explore what companies in Singapore can learn from their different approaches.

Research and practical lessons

Wiggberg’s research covers AI adoption, digital skills and AI governance. He works with businesses and government agencies on how organisations introduce and manage the technology.

The event forms part of SwedCham’s 2026 AI series. Registration opens at 8.15am, followed by Wiggberg’s presentation at 8.30am and a question-and-answer session from 9.30am to 10am.

Programme and registration are available on SwedCham’s event page.
