Nordic startup founders and investors are gathering in Singapore this week to explore partnerships in green technology and research-based innovation.
Nordic Singapore Innovation Days runs from 26 to 30 October. The programme connects entrepreneurs, investors and innovation organisations with potential partners in Singapore and the wider Asian market.
Participants will visit innovation hubs and research environments, join panel discussions and hold individual meetings with companies and investors. The programme also includes Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology, known as SWITCH.
Connecting startups with companies
The initiative aims to help startups find commercial partners and attract investment. Investor roundtables will address innovation, investment and the green transition, while tailored meetings will explore potential business collaborations.
According to Nordic Innovation House, the corporate matchmaking programme includes companies such as Bosch, CapitaLand, ST Engineering, KONE and Wilhelmsen. The initiative also welcomes eligible startups from Estonia and Lithuania alongside the five Nordic countries.
This is the third consecutive year of the event, which seeks to strengthen ties between the Nordic region and Singapore.
Organisers listed by Nordic Innovation include Sweden’s SISP and Ignite Nordic, Denmark’s and Finland’s embassies in Singapore, Innovation Norway and Iceland’s embassy in Tokyo. Nordic Innovation supports the initiative.
