Copenhagen Airport saw a rise in passenger numbers in November, with routes to Thailand and the United States driving growth.
A total of 2.18 million travelers passed through the airport last month, an 11 percent increase compared to November 2023. International routes outside Europe recorded the highest growth, with a 19 percent rise in passenger numbers.
Routes to Thailand were especially popular, with a 23 percent increase to Thai destinations like Bangkok and Phuket.
Despite the passenger growth, fewer flights operated in November compared to 2019. However, airlines are using larger and more fuel-efficient planes, such as the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 Max, helping to meet demand with fewer departures.
The airport credits strong demand for long-haul travel for the impressive recovery.
