Lise Nordgaard, the Deputy Head of Mission from the Royal Norwegian Embassy, attended and delivered certificates to the Young Lake Ambassadors on 6th November 2019.
Ten enthusiastic youths from the Inle Lake region have been trained to become the Ambassadors of the lake to raise awareness of environmental issues affecting the lake and its people. The ceremony for celebrating a successful completion of training and an official launching of the Inle Lake Ambassadors Outreach Programme in Nyung Shwe, Shan State.
Through the partnership with UNDP and Myanmar Institute for Integrated Development (MIID), The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Yangon is proud to support the programme that was not only building the capacity of youths for the lake conservation activities but also draw their involvement in the decision-making process that will affect their lives in the future.
