Two days of Danish Christmas Bazaar in Singapore

The Danish Christmas Bazaar is once again giving us a taste of the best Denmark has to offer at Christmas time. Mark your calendars the last weekend of November and come celebrate with us at the beautiful Danish Seamen’s Church at Mounth Faber.

After last year’s success of more than 1000 guests, this year the Bazaar will once again be for two days, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November 2013. This allows the visitors more time to taste the delicious food and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

image00Mount Faber will be exuding Christmas for two days, and you can see and buy Danish design Christmas decorations, Advent wreaths and Advent candles. You can also buy pork for roast and other food items that the Danes simply must have to create their traditional Christmas menu on the 24th December.

Danes in Singapore are manning the stalls after having spent weeks and months preparing for the event. The Christmas bazaar is an event they all look forward to and at the same time an activity which makes a profit that is a considerable support to the Seamen’s Church and the work they do.

”Last year we have had well over 1000 visitors; it can only happen with the help of many volunteers who prepare everything, baking and decorating, and during the bazaar they work two days straight and for very long hours”, priest Kirsten Hougaard Eistrup says.

The children can also bring their wish list to Santa, who will make the trip all the way from the cold north, to be with us on both days.
