Denmark hosted the yearly Political Consultations with Vietnam in Copenhagen this week, marking a new chapter in the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The consultations were led by Danish State Secretary for Trade and Investment Lina Gandløse Hansen and Vietnamese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thu Hang, accompanied by their respective delegations.
According to the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, the talks served as a comprehensive review of ongoing cooperation between the two governments and explored new ways to elevate the partnership.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across various sectors, enhancing trade relations, and deepening collaboration in international forums—particularly on matters of sustainable development and climate action. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism and the international rule of law.
The political consultation comes at a time when Vietnam and Denmark are seeking to further consolidate ties amid global uncertainties.
During the remainder of their visit, the Vietnamese delegation is scheduled to meet with other Danish ministries to explore additional avenues for collaboration.
