Denmark showcased its agri-food technology and livestock expertise at IndoLivestock 2025, held from 1 to 4 July 2025 in Surabaya, Indonesia. The Danish pavilion featured seven leading companies in livestock genetics, feed processing, dairy, and farming technology.
Organised by the Embassy of Denmark in Indonesia together with the Danish Agriculture & Food Council (DAFC), the pavilion aimed to strengthen Denmark’s business partnerships in Indonesia’s growing livestock sector.
According to the Facebook announcement of the Embassy,
“Indonesia’s government has set ambitious targets for the development of the food and agriculture sector in the country. Food self-sufficiency by 2029 will not happen automatically. It will require investments, improved resource efficiency, advanced technology, and world-class inputs for the livestock sector.”
The Danish delegation included:
- ANDRITZ, a global supplier of feed production systems
- Arla Foods, known for dairy innovation
- Best Farm, specialising in farrowing solutions
- DanBred, providing high-performance pig genetics
- Fog Agroteknik, experts in ventilation systems
- Haarslev, offering rendering and waste handling solutions
- Hendrix Genetics Swine, focusing on genetic progress in pigs
The event programme included official opening events, B2B matchmaking sessions, technical seminars, and embassy-hosted networking receptions. A pre-event briefing for the Danish companies was held on 1 July, with the main exhibition and business activities taking place from 2 to 4 July.
Denmark and Indonesia have an ongoing strategic partnership in the food and agriculture sector, including cooperation on organic dairy and food loss and waste. The IndoLivestock platform is seen by both countries as a key opportunity to accelerate collaboration and apply Danish know-how to local challenges in food production.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the Danish delegation held a closing briefing to evaluate the event and prepare follow-up engagements.
