The Malaysian Swedish Business Association held its first Networking of the year. The venue for the event was the city center of Kuala Lumpur and was held on Friday 24 February. According to the MASBA, the new networking event is scheduled to be held approximately 6-7 times a year, and MASBA was proud to co-host this first event together with The Swedish Trade Council, STC and The Swedish Consulate.
The Networking was held in the STC’s facilities. The meeting was very successful with approximately 70 guests attending the event, among them was the Danish Ambassador Svend Wæver, as well as former Swedish Ambassador Bruno Beijer. MASBAs president Hans Björnered, Daniel Johansson from The Swedish Embassy in Jakarta, Carl Malmqvist from Swedish Trade Council and Bruno Beijer all gave a short speech and updated the guests of upcoming events and, of course gave some input regarding the reopening of The Swedish Embassy here in Kuala Lumpur.
After the initial speeches the guests enjoyed a wine tasting along with a complementary buffet dinner hosted and sponsored by Vinsprit.
