Mr. Jakob Friis Sorensen, President Director of Pelayaran Bintag Putih – which is Maersk Line in Indonesia – was on 28 March 2012 re-elected Chairman of EuroCham in Indonesia.
The Annual General Meeting elected eight members for the Executive Board representing European companies in Indonesia, and four ex-officio representatives of the Bilateral Chambers and Business Associations of European countries. Mr. Friis Sorensen is also President of the Danish Business Association – DBA.
Apart from the Danish Chairman, the new board line-up is as follows:

Representatives Bilateral Chambers: Theo Bakker, Vice Chairman INA; Alain-Pierre Mignon, Chairman IFCCI; Haslam Preeston and Chairman BritCham; Jan Ronnfeld, Managing Director EKONID.
The board is elected for the period March 2012 – March 2013. The role of the Executive Board is to oversee the management of the Chamber, and guide the secretariat in its work. The Executive Board meets 6-12 times per year.
