PNBC held AGM

The Philippines Norway Business Council held its 2nd Annual General Membership Meeting (AGM) at the I’m Angus Steak House in Makati City Thursday 19 April 2012. The event was attended by members representing 24 Norwegian companies and Filipino companies with Norwegian interests.
 
As highlight of the AGM, outgoing PNBC President and NTC-M Director Stein Eriksen reported on the Council’s general accomplishments in 2011 and the first quarter of 2012. PNBC VP External Affairs and SN Power Country Representative Ozone Azanza also reported on CSR projects approved and implemented in 2011/2012, highlighting the recent education-focused CSR project called H.E.L.P. with the Tuklasan Center in San Juan, Metro Manila as recipient, and the ongoing Book Drive Project. Shortly thereafter, the Council’s Treasurer and General Manager of Klaveness   Maritime Agency Victor Del Prado presented the financial status of PNBC.
 
The members applauded the significant accomplishments of the Council in its first full year of existence. Norwegian Ambassador Knut Solem congratulated the Board for its efforts from the time PNBC was officially formed in January 2011.
 
The members of PNBC also approved several amendments to the PNBC By-Laws.
 
SGV/Ernst & Young was also unanimously elected as PNBC Auditor.
 
With Ambassador Solem chairing the Election Committee, the general membership then elected the new members of the PNBC Board. The following comprise the new Board:

3. Rodolfo Azanza Jr.
4. Ole B. Stene
5. Victor Del Prado
6. Ivar Thomasli
7. Luis Alfredo Perez
8. Jens Hansen / Finn Wattenberg


The Norwegian Embassy will continue to join the Board meetings as Observer.
 
In accordance with PNBC By-Laws, the new Board will meet to elect the Council’s officers from among themselves.
