Norwegian Film at FCCT in Bangkok

Norwegian Film “Upperdog” will be screened at the Foreign Correspondence Club of Thailand (FCCT) on Thursday, May 31 at 8.00pm.

It’s the first time that a Norwegian film will be shown at the “Contemporary World Films” series organised by FCCT.  Launched in 2009, Uppderdog is a comedy-drama film that won Amanda Awards in 2010 at Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, Norway, in five categories; Best Norwegian Film, Best Director – Sara Johnsen, Best Actress – Agnieszka Grochowska, Best Clips – Zaklina Stojcevska and Best Photo -John Andreas Andersen.

The film is about Korean half-siblings Yanne and Axel who get separated when they are young. Both are adopted by Norwegian families and live completely different lives in different ends of Oslo. Hard-working Yanne is raised up by a single mother while Axel lives his luxury life and spoiled by his wealthy parents. The two are connected by Yannel’s roommate who has become Axel’s lover, leading to an emotional turmoil.

The admission for the film screening is free of charge of FTCC members.

For non-members, it’s 150 baht per person.
