Thaksin visits Sweden 23-24 September

Thailand’s Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra makes an official visit to Sweden 23 and 24 September, confirm the PM offices in Stockholm and Bangkok in talks with Scandasia.
     The agenda for the talks between Thaksin Shinawatra and Sweden’s Prime Minister Göran Persson, scheduled to begin 17.15 Thursday the 23rd is being ironed out, according to Sweden’s Foreign Ministry.
     No other meetings or events during the visit have yet been made public. Further details about the visit will be announced later.
     Thaksin was invited to Sweden by Göran Persson during the Swedish PM´s visit to Thailand early 2004.
     The biggest business deal discussed in the open then was Sweden’s bid to sell Saab’s JAS Gripen fighter aircraft system to the Royal Thai Air Force, which is due to retire its US made F5 jet fighter fleet in the next few years.
