Denmark has become partner country at Business of Design Week 2012 in Hong Kong, making the event a unique opportunity to promote Danish design, not only in Hong Kong but in Asia and Worldwide. Business of Design Week is Asia’s most important design event with more than 100,000 visitors last year.
The Danish participation has been titled “Design Society Denmark”. The intention is to mark the Danish design tradition to connect historical and contemporary design and harmonize the social and functional with aesthetics, sustainability and user focus. Through the partnership, there is ample opportunity to expand and renew the perception of Danish design, develop business relations with Asia and exchange knowledge with other event participants.
The partnership is co-funded by the by the Danish Ministry of Business and Growth. The Trade Council has provided grants to the part relating to the executive designated condition, which is coordinated by the Danish Design Association and Innovation Centre Denmark, Hong Kong.
Business of Design Week takes place 3rd-8th December 2012.
