Danish ambassador to China Mr. Friis Arne Petersen has recently participated in the annual International Cultural Festival at Peking University.
On 28 October 2012, the ambassador gave a speech about the individual responsibility of a global citizen at the festival. He mentioned the need for higher education as well as poverty reduction and environmental sustainability. The discussion with many students took place afterwards.
Ambassador Petersen also visited the main part of the International Cultural Festival, which included booths from 69 countries and regions in the world. The booths were set up by exchange students attending Peking University.
There was also a Danish booth at the festival, and the Ambassador supported the booth by bringing a lot of information material about Denmark to the booth, where he also had some Danish meatballs made by Danish exchange students.
