Yesterday, the winners of Odense Film Festival was revealed.
The Danish director Michael Christoffersen won with his documentary
“Milosevic – president accused” the largest of the Danish film prizes.
But among the 231 short films presented at festivals the audience preferred
Janus Metz ‘documentary film “From Thailand to Thy” about the 575
Thai women who are Danish married and are living in the north eastern part of
Thy.
The film, which the Danish newspaper Fyens Stiftstidendes reviewer Caspar Vang
earlier this week described as a “humoristic documentary, about a very
closed society within the society that many Danes no nothing about”, was
yesterday on the basis of an Internet vote rewarded with this year’s audience
award .
