Thailand and Indonesia Publish Stieg Larsson Trilogy

The popular fictive Swedish crime solving team, journalist Mikael Blomkvist and computer-hacker Lisbet Salander, are about to be famous in Southeast Asia too. The three bestselling books by the late Swedish writer Stieg Larsson – which is to be found on the bookshelves at more than half of the entire population of Sweden and about at about one million of the Danish ones – is now going to be published in Thailand and Indonesia.

“With an estimated sale on about 4000 copies a day there has been a great foreign demand on the Larsson-books. So far the publishing rights to the three books have been sold to 38 countries all over the world” says Magdalena Hedlund from Norstedts Agency. She believes that the complexity of the book’s characters is the reason why these particular crime novel have obtained world-wide recognition.
