Scania, the Swedish truck manufacturers will team up with construction equipment specialist Doosan Infracore following a deal between the two companies.
The manufacturer will supply engines to all Doosan’s products around the world in what is a major coup for Scania.
Doosan Infracore produce construction equipment on a world wide scale and are regarded as the leaders in their field of expertise. Doosan managing director Seung Woo Yang revealed that Scania were always their preferred choice of engine manufacturer.
“We want reliable engines with outstanding performance and a global service network where our customers can get excellent support. We found that in Scania’s offering,” said Yang.
Senior Vice President and Head of Scania engines Robert Sobocki said: “One of Scania’s strengths is that we can deliver highly fuel-efficient and reliable engines that fulfill Stage IIIB and Tier 4 Interim emission legislation. The result is a low total ownership cost for the operator.”
