Odense Symphony Orchestra is touring China in May and will play seven concerts. Thursday 12th May, the Danish Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen hosted a reception at the Danish Embassy to welcome Odense Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra is playing seven concerts in five different cities.
“In 1997 Odense Symphony Orchestra visited China for the first time. After almost 15 years the orchestra returns to a very different China. The growth and development taking place here is not only changing the industry and the country side – but also the cultural scene,” Friis Arne Petersen said in his speech of welcome.
Odense Symphony Orchestra consists of 73 musicians from 17 different nations. They will play the following concerts in China:
13th May Beijing, National Center for Performing Arts
15th May Tianjin, Nankai University
17th May Zhuhai, Beijing Normal University
18th May Sihui, Administrative and Cultural Center
19th May Zhuhai, Xiangzhou District Cultural Square
21st May Zhuhai, Grand Meeting Hall
22nd May Guangzhou, Xinghai Concert Hall
