Danish Minister of Education Visited Vietnam

The Danish Minister of Education, Troels Lund Poulsen, recently visited Vietnam. The minister’s visit was a follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed with the Vietnamese Minister of Education in December 2010.

The Minister met with Prime minister Nguyen Tam Dung and the two parties agreed to further look into strengthening cooperation on environmental education and vocational training. The Prime minister stressed the good relations between our two countries and the increased cooperation in all fields.

During a meeting with the Vietnamese Minister of Education, Pham Vu Luan, the Minister agreed to set up a Joint Steering Committee to follow up on the different activities included in the MOU. The Joint Committee will prepare for yearly meetings between the two ministers to take concrete actions on activities agreed upon.

The Minister was accompanied by the Director of Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College Anya Eskildsen, who set up a joint education programme at BA-level in Financial Management with Foreign Trade University last year.
