The Royal Danish Embassy in China hosted the launch of “Gather in Denmark – Organic life” the 28th of October. The Danish dairy company Arla’s organic milk was launched on the Chinese shopping website Taobao’s online shopping portal Juhuasuan.
The launch of the organic milk products marks a new important step in the establishment of Denmark’s presence in China, as Chinese consumers are now able to buy Danish dairy products online.
The Danish Ambassador to China, Friis Arne Petersen, gave the welcome speech underlining the importance of the cooperation between China and Denmark within the dairy industry: “The milk provided is organic. It is produced with respect of the environment and the welfare of animals, it is the highest quality and it is safe. With this organic milk we are providing a piece of Danish culture to the Chinese people”.
“China is facing an impressive growth in the dairy production and also an increase in consumer demands for high quality and safe milk products. I am convinced that today’s event fits perfectly well into that picture.”
