Axis Communications, the Swedish network video company, has opened a new office and Axis Experience Center (AEC) in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. The site is designed as an immersive hub for government and businesses to test integrated solutions in video, audio, access control and intercoms with AI and IoT.

The launch adds Hong Kong to Axis’ global AEC network in technology capitals including Singapore, New York, London and Sweden. The opening ceremony featured demonstrations of analytics for people flow and incident detection, as well as radar, thermal and environmental sensing.

Sweden’s Consul General to Hong Kong and Macau, Louise Bergholm, joined Axis executives at the ribbon-cutting, highlighting Swedish innovation and collaboration in the city’s tech ecosystem.

Axis said the center will support growth across North Asia and priority sectors such as smart cities, critical infrastructure, data centers, transport and hospitality through demonstrations, collaboration and training.
