CPN is also planning a first in collaborating with IKEA , to open in a few years’ time, as the second IKEA store in Bangkok. Mr. Christian Rojkjaer, Managing Director of Ikano Private Limited confirmed his team’s ambition to open the second IKEA store in Thailand at CentralPlaza WestGate.

Mr. Christian Rojkjaer who is responsible for the IKEA franchise in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia said: ‘We want all of our IKEA stores to be part of an inspiring retail destination that makes it as easy as possible for people to shop and enjoy a day out with the family – and WestGate provides it all. We believe CentralPlaza WestGate will be the best regional shopping centre in west Bangkok. CPN’s strong one-stop shopping concept and excellent links to major roadways and public transport make it the perfect location for us to further our vision of creating a better everyday life for many people. Our hope is to develop a one-of-a-kind IKEA store that is fully integrated into the shopping centre, offering shoppers access to the IKEA Store from all levels of the shopping centre – creating a seamless shopping experience.

The mall describes itself to be “unique with featured designs and art installations beyond imagination under the concept of ‘Have A BIG Life’. The decorations inside the shopping centre are a super-sized spectacle with enormous and colourful features along with special technology to build excitement such as the Welcome Gate, the Green Courtyard meeting point (where the 4th-floor-building height LED water features are located), the Rainbow Bridge, decorated by colorful LED lights, and the Beyond-Imagination music garden etc. These features are in place to create fun, enjoyment and support the families of our customers.”
