Now it’s getting closer, and before we know it, Christmas will be here again. When you live in a warm country like Thailand, you don’t have to think about warm winter clothes, but it can still feel wonderful to slip into something cozy – why not a pajama set in the most delightful quality, designed for the whole family, both young and old.
Meet the two young friends and business partners who are behind the Pyjamas collection and more, and learn about “Blossom Home”, a creation that started more or less in a sandbox watching over the kids.
Years ago, I happened to meet Rosanna Risk, a young, very dynamic woman married to a Swede. From the first moment I liked her open mind and positivity.
Rosanna is a Londoner, with a background in marketing and her friend and partner Naomi, also from London, has a background from the famous London College of Fashion, met through their children in Bangkok, like so many other women do.
Rosanna has lived in Stockholm, but moved with her husband to Bangkok over 10 years ago. Naomi has lived in Sydney, but had currently been living in Bangkok with her family for just under a decade.
I can’t stop thinking about how many accompanying spouses you find in and around Bangkok with careers, they might have left behind, to follow their husbands abroad, and how they, mostly already after a short time, make their days busy by starting something new. To be a housewife with lazy days by the pool, or attending ladies’ lunches, can in the long run not suit everyone.
The two women share the appreciation for travel, aesthetic and artisanal that led to a quickly growing business.
They began to explore the idea of thoughtful gifting items that would be beautiful and personal. After a short time, the idea grew into “Blossom Home” a boutique gifting brand with a Thai twist. The brand celebrates the local craftmanship. Their hampers are curated with much care, featuring the artisanal Thai products and textiles from skilled local makers. They have several loved items, such as their playful, embroidered monkey pouches and the breezy cotton pyjamas collection.
Every item is produced with love and perfection. The Pyjamas are a delight to wear and even if we don’t have cold winter days in Thailand, they are cozy to wear in chilled aircon rooms. The prints are various, but the red palm tree print has become a big favorite. The cotton is of highest quality and let your body breath. I would say, a fun pyjama under the Christmas tree is, in this case, not a bad idea.
Blossom Home has its eyes set on expanding into select stores and resorts across Thailand. Even if the brand will grow, the roots will remain the same; a celebration of friendship, creativity, and that little extra that make the gift so very special. Right now, you can order online. https://blossomhome.grazeandblossom.com/collections/pyjamas

When Rosanna isn’t busy working with Blossom Home, she has three beautiful kids that she cares a lot about and tries to spend as much as possible valued time with. I admire her for her strong will to see that her children also learn their father’s mother tongue, Swedish. Rosanna herself, also makes a big effort to learn to understand and speak Swedish, and she does it quite well.
I use to say to all parents with different mother tongues, “that every language is a real gift”.
It’s amazing to see how women adapt quickly to a new environment and how they can create a meaningful and successful living abroad.
Women are capable to move mountains sometimes!
