Starting from the beginning of 2022, the tax-free benefits, children’s education, housing and language courses by foreign workers of companies operating in China will become a taxable income. The tax change significantly raises the personnel costs of Chinese companies and reduces otherwise the ′′expat contracts′′ of companies.
