On 21 April 2021 the winter sport and education business delegates of Team Finland China visited Wuxi, Jiangsu province. The delegation, lead by Deputy Consul General Elina Rimppi, was welcomed by the Education and the Sports Bureaus of Wuxi. Focus of the meeting was on winter sports and education sector emphasizing sustainable values. Finland has good connections with Jiangsu Province regarding winter sports and high interest to introduce more Finnish training concepts, technologies and products in the area.
The itinerary included a visit to Wuxi Sunac Snow World, one of the biggest indoor ski resorts in China. Wuxi has made many efforts in promoting ice & snow infrastructure and activities, which offer potential opportunities for Finnish winter sports companies.
