Wonderful Copenhagen, an official tourism organization for the Capital Region of Denmark, cooperated with Copenhagen Airport and Aalborg Airport to launch a project that will make the transportation easier for Chinese tourists to visit north Jutland.

Based on the research of an influx of tourists in Copenhagen over the past few years, the number of Chinese tourists in Copenhagen has been increasing.

And in 2019, there will be 88 percent more direct flights from China to Copenhagen than in 2018.

These direct flights will encourage Chinese tourists to come and explore the charm of Copenhagen even more.

Therefore, Wonderful Copenhagen intended to share this benefit with Aalborg, the city located in north Jutland.

Søren Svendsen, the head of Aalborg Airport, revealed his intention to introduce Chinese tourists to meet with the beauty of north Jutland.

“Just imagine a rainy day at the beaches by the North Sea. Chinese families will practically be able to be there alone and this is the kind of experiences that the new wave of tourists will demand.” said Svendsen.

He added more that “Research shows that the first wave of Chinese tourists who wanted to see attractions like The Little Mermaid and the Round Tower is waning. Now an even bigger wave of Chinese tourists is about to wash over Denmark and I want to encourage them to go to north Jutland, where there is plenty on offer,”

The project is now under the process of forming the connection with some travel partners so that this project can offer Chinese tourists a more satisfying travel package.
