Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen met with Vietnam’s Acting Foreign Minister Lê Hoài Trung on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting marked another step in the longstanding partnership between Denmark and Vietnam.

Discussions focused on green transition, climate action, trade, and investment — central elements in the Vietnam–Denmark Green Strategic Partnership. The framework supports Vietnam in developing a climate-resilient, low-carbon economy, with Denmark sharing expertise, technology, and investment.

Lars Løkke Rasmussen praised Vietnam’s economic achievements and priorities for sustainable growth. He thanked Vietnam for its support to Danish businesses and reaffirmed Denmark’s commitment to expand investments in green transition projects.

Looking ahead to the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026, both sides agreed to intensify high-level visits and strengthen cooperation on global and regional challenges.
