According to the flyer of Klerk’s exhibition, “In this collection, she explores the conversation between the inside, outside, and surroundings of the homes we find ourselves in every day—both the internal and external impact. She plays with themes of nature and structure, marrying the two through her series of layering printmaking techniques.

“Marianne makes the layers come to life and tell their story from the heart using a wide combination of disciplines, including Intaglio printmaking, Aquatint, Drypoint, Soap ground, Chine collé, Collagraphy, and Woodblock printing.”
