Celebrity hairstylist Dennis Knudsen has revealed that he has purchased a villa on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. He made the announcement during a recent conversation while celebrating the new acquisition.
The purchase has generated interest, especially after media outlet Ekstra Bladet first reported the news. Knudsen described the villa as approximately 200 square meters, situated on a plot of land ranging from 500 to 600 square meters.
“I’ve gone through quite a few properties before I finally found the right one,” Knudsen explained. He expressed gratitude for having a great real estate agent who understood his vision. “I have been looking for a villa with Bali vibes, and I found that in this house.”
On his Instagram profile, he has shared images of the property, which currently resembles a construction site with exposed earth. When asked about the state of the house, he clarified, “No, it doesn’t need much work. It’s just the front door and parking area that look like this. I’m ready to move in by January 1, but I thought it would be a bit tacky to post pictures of the interior when it’s not finished.”
Moreover, Knudsen noted that the new home is only three minutes away from his children’s new kindergarten, which was an important factor in his decision.
While the villa purchase signifies a new chapter for Knudsen, he does not plan to relocate permanently to Thailand. Instead, he intends to use the house as a retreat from the cold Danish winter.
When asked about the cost of property in Thailand, he mentioned, “It varies widely. I’ve seen villas priced from one million to seven million.” However, he chose not to disclose the exact amount he paid for his new home.
Although Knudsen is not making a permanent move to Thailand, he has put his house in Korsør up for sale. He previously mentioned his fond memories of Koh Samui, saying, “I visited Koh Samui 30 years ago, and I remember it being fantastic.”
As he embarks on this new adventure, Knudsen looks forward to enjoying the warmth and beauty of Thailand while balancing his life between Denmark and his new tropical getaway.
